• Profile data: First name, last name, city, Instagram handle, and profile picture that you voluntarily provide.
• Content you create: Spots, reviews, photos, and coach profiles you submit to the platform.
• Usage data: Basic analytics such as pages visited and interactions with the platform.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and maintain the FitPins platform
• To display your profile and content to other users
• To send essential service communications (account-related emails only)
• To moderate content and ensure community safety

We do not sell your personal data. We may share information with:

• Netlify: Our hosting and authentication provider.
• Neon (PostgreSQL): Our database provider where your data is stored securely.

5. Public Content

Spots, reviews, and coach profiles you submit are publicly visible to all users. Your display name is shown alongside content you create. Exercise caution about the personal information you choose to include in public content.

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us. Content you have contributed (spots, reviews) may remain on the platform in anonymized form.

8. Mobile App — Additional Information

The Fitpins iOS app may request the following device permissions:

• Location (When In Use): Used solely to display nearby spots on the map. Your location is not transmitted to our servers in real time and is not stored.
• Camera: Used to take photos when adding a spot. Photos are uploaded only upon your explicit action.
• Photo Library: Used to select existing photos when adding a spot. We do not access photos beyond those you explicitly choose.

Authentication tokens are stored securely on your device using iOS Secure Enclave (Keychain) and are never transmitted beyond what is necessary to authenticate with our servers.

9. Cookies

On the web platform, we use minimal cookies strictly necessary for authentication and session management. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies. The mobile app does not use cookies.

10. Security

We use industry-standard security measures including HTTPS, encrypted database connections, and JWT-based authentication. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
